I’ve come back to this site after a stupidly long hiatus (blame school for the majority of that). I’ve still kept up art for the last few years and I can say with certainty that I’ve vastly improved and have some experiences that I can actually talk about. Thus, I’m starting this personal art blog, so you can expect me to talk about all things art related (including my own art that I’ll now upload here) and mention some tid-bits I find interesting along the way.
Now, my “nickname”, I guess, used to be Pup514 but now that I’ve stared into the void that is life (it stared back too… Shivers) and have a greater preference towards cats than dogs, I’ve moved to a different name. Drum roll please… I now go by Alexius Aris, or Alex for short. I guess a name change isn’t that big of a deal, but I still wanted to bring some clarification.
Due to some computer mishaps, I focused on traditional art (art produced with real physical media) for a long time. I only had time for pencil sketches but I did some charcoal drawings on occasion. If you’re wondering just how much I’ve improved over the last few years, here are some pictures of my work over the last year.
Pretty neat, huh?
And now, recently, I’ve gotten back into digital art again. I’ve been trying some different things such as digital painting and some tweaks to my drawing style. It feels like my style oscillates a lot, but I guess that’s okay. It would be boring if things stayed the same, right?
I have a few ideas of what I want to write about in the future, so stay tuned for that coming soon. In the meantime, you can check out my digital art on my Tumblr blog (https://drcarnations.tumblr.com). I’ll be writing about one of those drawings in my next post.
See you guys soon.
